This lovely and rare French travel poster invites the viewer to visit the Gota Canal, which is part of a waterway linking rivers and lakes traversing Sweden ("En Canal a Travers la Suede"). It's one of Sweden's most popular tourist attractions. Many cruise ships navigate the canal, and the picture on this poster promises a serene and scenic trip on such a ship. Just looking at this poster makes one want to take this relaxing cruise. Since tourists can also take their own boats through the canal, it sometimes is jokingly called the "divorce ditch" (Swedish: skilsmässodiket) because of the troubles couples have while trying to navigate the narrow waterway and the many locks by themselves.
If you love cruising waterways throughout the world (whether on a big ship or your own small boat), you will want to own this beautiful poster and be reminded of what you love to do.
