This charming 1934 French poster is advertising Fieux Aine, a brand of Fourrages Melasses (molasses-enriched animal feed, also called forage) for livestock. In the foreground, the forage is being poured from a giant bag into a feeding trough. In the background a bucolic farm scene shows the horses, sheep, cows and pig who will be feasting soon on the forage. The pig seems particularly interested in the arrival of the food, and a cow is ambling over to check it out.
Reminiscent of a by-gone era of small, independent family farms, this quaint poster makes an interesting contribution to every poster collection.
