David Hockney shows a Corbusier Chair and a rug in this poster for a one-man exhibition of his work at the Andre Emmerich Gallery in New York in 1969.  The blackness of the chair centers the composition, with light green coloring for the background and text. A grey rug with what looks like a Native American design is in the foreground.

David Hockney (b. 1937) is one of the most influential and accomplished British contemporary artist in printmaking, photography, stage design, and painting.  His work is in collections of many prestigious museums, art centers, and private collectors.
