ONE WORLD PEACE 1970 POSTER

This beautiful, bold peace poster from 1970 shows Earth (the partial, yellowish orb with the blue swirly lines - perhaps bodies of water?) as seen from another horizon (the moon?) which is bright orange and covers the lower part of the poster.  At the top of the poster, in the blue field, are the words in a black, 3-D font: One World ... Peace.

The artist's printed name, Salvatore Bovoso, appears in the lower left corner, and the date and publisher - (c) 1970 Gemini Rising Inc. - appear along the bottom right side of the poster.

Vintage posters often preserve bits of history, and peace posters from the 1960s and 1970s are a powerful reminder of a tumultuous era in our country's history. 

This poster is not just beautiful and bold; it is important because of its message - as urgent and important now as it was more than fifty years ago.
