IL GLOBO POSTER

This Italian advertisement for Il Globo metal polish illustrates the truism that sex and humor sell products. This is true now, and it was true seventy-two years ago when this sexy woman donned sunglasses to use her Globo metal polish because the glow from everything she polished (including the globe itself) was so bright.

That this vintage lithograph is still attracting notice and smiles proves the success of this winning combo.  Its striking design, with the black background, glowing golden globe and white lettering, adds to the poster’s continued popularity and status as one of the advertising greats.
