Make no mistake - Favor bikes, whether with pedals or motors, are for "real men" in this 1937 advertisement for Favor, a prominent French manufacturer first of bicycles and then of motorcycles from 1898 until 1977. Mr. He-Man, the oversized worker in the picture who holds a tiny bicycle and a tiny motorcycle in the palm of each very large, capable hand, has a chiseled face, a rugged, angular physique and inspires confidence as a mechanic and builder of machines. The viewer can tell he makes superior bikes of every kind. To own a Favor product is to own the best - that's the message of this poster.
French brothers Jacques Bellenger (1903-1985) and Pierre Bellenger (1909 – date unknown) designed this poster. They collaborated on many projects during their long careers as poster designers.
This large, horizontal (63" wide) poster will have a big impact wherever it is placed -- workroom, exercise room, office or commercial space.
