A giant Warhol-looking Campbell's can that says "TOMAT SPR" (with the rest of the letters not visible by design) sprays a torrent of tomato soup (or tomato-colored paint?) with the impact of a gale-force wind. It is so powerful that it knocks a lamp shade askew and blows back the scarf of the man who is sitting directly in front of the spray can's stream. Seemingly unperturbed, he sits slouched in his chair, wearing sunglasses (he came prepared), with his face splashed with red. He has not turned his face away from the spray stream; it's as though he is listening to a live concert and letting the sound just roll through him.
Needless to say, this is a very interesting poster.
French born and Los Angeles based, street artist Thierry Guetta (b. 1966) goes by the name "Mr. Brainwash." Known for his colorful social commentary and street art/Pop art style depicting images of iconic people and celebrities, Mr. Brainwash works among graffiti artists including Banksy & Shepard Fairey.
It's fun owning art that you never tire of looking at and that amuses and surprises you. This poster definitely falls into this category.
