RON ENGLISH SIGNED PRINT ABRAHAM OBAMA FRAMED

Titled Abraham Obama, this fascinating work by American artist Ron English merges the facial features of President Abraham Lincoln (most notably his famous beard) into those of President Barack Obama, creating an uncanny likeness of Obama.  It became one of the most recognizable images indirectly involved with the Barack Obama campaign for president in 2008. It is the subject of a documentary titled Abraham Obama and has been featured on CNN, NPR.

This limited edition, numbered 68 of 200, original print is hand-signed by the artist.

Ron English (b. 1959), is an American contemporary artist whose prolific work, including prints, paintings, street art, billboards and sculptures, explores cultural icons, consumerism, brand imagery and advertising. He coined the term “POPaganda" to describe his scathingly humorous mix of cultural icons with characters created by him, such as those in his “Cereal Killers” series of action figures.
