This rare vintage poster from Argentina is such fun! An advertisement for Tiziano liqueurs, it shows two bottles -- a bottle of Anis Turco (brandy that is flavored with Turkish anis) and a bottle of Bitter. These bottle buddies are celebrating a special occasion, as they’re all dressed up with top hats, bow ties and shirts with cufflinks. They’re smiling and clinking their glasses together, and Mr. Anis Turco is pointing to the target behind them which has an arrow piercing the bull’s-eye. The Spanish words at the top, “Dele al Blanco,” loosely mean “hit the target,” and so what these two gentlemen are in joyful agreement about is that their drinks really “hit the spot” (to use the American idiom) and are what each needed. This message is conveyed emphatically by the bright, joyful colors that illuminate the poster --- the intense yellow background punctuated by whites, yellows and greens and of course the red target.
Brighten up your room with this poster and find a spot for these nattily dressed bottles having fun celebrating. This is a poster you’ll love owning.
