THRILLS MONSTER SHOW POSTER

This bright pink, yellow and green poster from 1990 - in the style of an old-fashioned circus handbill - advertises The Monster Show at Club Lower Links in Chicago.  Using hilarity as a hook, it promises “sights and frights” and shows by performance artists that are filled with "art, humor and horror." 

A cartoon drawing of a smiling monster terrorizing a man underscores these messages.  And just so those reading the poster have no doubt that silliness will prevail, it states at the bottom, “A Product of Genetic Engineering Somehow Gone Terribly Wrong.” Who wants to miss that show?
