In this vivid design by master graphic designer Milton Glaser, the iconic peace sign is shown with an electric current arcing between the upraised middle and index fingers. Advocating “Safe Energy Now,” Musicians United for Safe Energy (MUSE), the group for which the poster was created, opposes the use of nuclear energy and promotes a non-nuclear future following the 1979 Three Mile Island nuclear accident in the US. MUSE raised funds for its cause with its Concerts for Safe Energy.
