This lovely, extremely rare lithograph from the Soviet Union shows a young girl wearing a red headscarf and holding up an olive branch, the internationally recognized symbol of peace. The dates shown at the top of the lithograph, 1918-1948, suggest that the lithograph was created in observance of the thirtieth anniversary of the end of World War I or possibly in commemoration of an event associated with the establishment of the Soviet Union following the 1917 Russian Revolution. A small hammer and sickle in a red star appear just above the olive branch.
