PETER PATHE MUNCHENER KAMMERSPIELEN POSTER

This fascinating lithograph advertises a dance performance by Peter Pathe in Munich. Pathe is shown in a dancer's pose with a costume and wig that suggest his performance will be interesting and perhaps a bit edgy.  The oranges, yellows and whites used in portraying him are in dramatic contrast to the dark background. Overall, this poster is quite striking and intriguing and will dominate any area in which it is hung.

The artist's name (M. Pathe) and date of the original printing of this poster (1919) appear on right side of the poster.  Other posters featuring Pathe as a ballet dancer with his dance partner Maria Hagen are from the same era.
