"The New National Theatre Is Yours" proclaims this poster announcing the 1976 opening of this theater in London on the South Bank of the Thames. A picture of the new theater appears at the bottom of the poster. Printed quotes (perhaps from theater productions) are cut out and pasted, collage style, throughout the poster, and the background is a shadowed outline of the Union Flag.
This poster was designed by British painter, print maker and collagist Tom Phillips (b. 1937).
