MR. BRAINWASH LE BISTRO SIGNED PRINT

This screen print by famed graffiti artist Mr. Brainwash shows five men sitting at a gritty outdoor bistro in front of a graffiti-covered wall.  Four are older men; one is a bit younger.  They are chatting and relaxing over drinks. All are dressed in working-class clothing.  A waitress off to one side is pouring drinks, and a dog sits patiently on the other side. It’s a scene repeated many times a day in many places throughout the world.  Though Mr. Brainwash often portrays famous people in his prints, in this print the focus is on the every-day working man. As with his other prints, however, a background of street graffiti dominates the scene.

This original screen print is signed by the artist and numbered (96/300).

French-born and Los Angeles-based, "Mr. Brainwash" is the name used by the street artist Thierry Guetta (b. 1966), known for his colorful social commentary using street art/Pop art styles depicting images of iconic people and celebrities.  Mr. Brainwash works among graffiti artists including Banksy & Shepard Fairey.
