Do you hear the music? Four French horns are arranged in different perspectives similar to a musical arrangement with more than one sound. The bright yellow sunshiny color of the horns, against the green of the grass and leaves and the blue of the sky, really makes one think of those lazy days of summer, sitting outside on a blanket at a concert or picnic.
This lovely poster was designed for the 1996 Herman Miller annual summer picnic which the company hosted for its employees. With games, food and, most notably, music, there was something for everyone.
This is one of many posters designed by HM employee Kathy Stanton (b. 1950s) celebrating the company's annual summer picnic. Stanton was also Herman Miller Senior Manager for Content (2004-2008); and Senior Graphic Manager (1979-2008).
